Diaphania nitidalis (Stoll) - (pickleworm)
The moth is a pest of cucurbits in tropical and subtropical parts of the Americas, as well as Hawaii. It breeds on crops like squash, cucumber and melon. The larvae feed first on leaves, buds and flowers. Older larvae often tunnel into the fruits or the stems.
