Dermacentor parumapertus Neumann, 1901
This tick is found in western North America, from Idaho to northern Mexico, and is usually associated with hares and rabbits. However, it may also bite humans. It has been reported to transmit disease agents like Francisella tularensis, causing Tularemia or rabbit fever, and Rickettsia parkeri.
