Dermacentor auratus Supino, 1897

This tick is found in southern Asia. It infests various mammals, including domestic animals and livestock. It also bites humans and mainly the nymphs have been reported to be involved (e.g. as infestations of the ears, see Ariyarathne et al. 2016). The tick has been reported to transmit various diseases.
