Culex mimeticus Noé, 1899

This mosquito is widely distributed in Europe Asia and northern Africa. It has been reported to be common in some habitats, but it is not known to be medically important. It breeds mainly in permanent bodies of stagnant water with vegetation like ponds, pools or slow running rivers (Sofizadeh et al., 2018).
