Cordyceps javanica (Frieder. & Bally) Kepler, B. Shrestha & Spatafora 2017 (against insects)

This soil dwelling fungus infects insects from various orders, including Lepidoptera, Hemiptera, and Diptera. It can be also antagonistic against plant diseases with some strains having both antagonistic as well as entomopathogenic properties. Further it can live as an endophyte in plants and can be applied to crops by spraying (Bocco et al., 2021).
