Cordyceps cateniannulata (entomopathogen) (Z.Q. Liang) Kepler, B. Shrestha & Spatafora 2017
This fungus has been recorded as a pathogen of spider mites and other plant parasitic mites in eastern Asia. However, it is also a pathogen of certain insect groups. C. cateniannulata is common in forest environments in that region, and has been been shown to have high pathogenicity against Tetranychus urticae while causing little mortality in the spider mite predator Euseius nicholsi (Zhang et al., 2018).
