Convolvulus L. - (bindweeds)
This genus contains around 70 species of mainly climbing plants. They are widely distributed and include field bindweed, Convolvulus arvensis, which is native to Europe and Asia and has been introduced into the Americas. It is an important weed in crops like various cereals, grapevine, soybean or vegetables. The leaves have often entire margins and the flowers are funnel-shaped.
