Clarireedia jacksonii C. Salgado, L.A. Beirn, B.B. Clarke & J.A. Crouch 2018
This fungus has a global distribution and is a common cause for the dollar spot disease of turf grasses. Together with Clarireedia monteithiana it appears to be the most important cause of dollar spot in North America and perhaps worldwide (Salgado-Salazar et al., 2018). Before 2018, C. jacksonii and other species of the dollar spot disease complex have been referred to as Sclerotinia homoeocarpa, see the genus Clarireedia.
