Chrysodeixis eriosoma (Doubleday, 1843) - (green garden looper)
This moth is widely distributed. It is occasionally recorded as a polyphagous pest, mainly in Asia, the Pacific or Australia. Vegetables like cabbage, eggplants, green beans or tomatoes might be become infested, with leaves, flowers or fruits being attacked (McQuate & Sylva, 2018).
The larvae causing the damage are green. The adults have a wingspan of around 40 mm and are mainly brownish with a whitish mark on the forewings in the shape of the figure '8' with both halves separated.
