Chionaspis heterophyllae Cooley, 1897
This armored scale insect infests pine trees in North America. It is morphologically similar to Chionaspis pinifoliae, see Philpott et al. (2009) for separating both species. In Christmas tree plantations, both species are significant pests. There are typically 2 generations per year.
