Chaetosiphon Mordvilko, 1914

This genus of aphids includes around 20 species and is found in temperate and sub-tropical regions, mainly in the northern hemisphere. The host plants belong to the Rosaceae. They do not change hosts and are not attended by ants. Chaetosiphon fragaefolii is a pest on strawberries and transmits several viruses.

The immature stages are usually yellowish to green. The dorsal hairs have tiny knobs at the ends and the cuticle is covered with small warts. The antennae arise from basal sockets (tubercles) on the head.
