Cervus nippon Temminck, 1838 - (sika deer)
This species of deer is native to eastern Asia and has been introduced for hunting or display into other regions like Europe, North America or New Zealand. Some of the introduced populations have become invasive Those are often considered undesirable as they compete with native species or on ecological and social grounds. Several subspecies have been described and introduced.
