Caloptilia fraxinella (Ely, 1915) - (ash leaf cone roller)
This small moth is specialized on ash trees (Fraxinus). It is found in eastern North America and apparently invasive in western parts of that continent. E.g. it was first reported from western states of Canada around 2000. The young larvae are leafminers and the older ones roll the leaf margin to a cone which they use as a shelter. The adults have a wingspan of around 12 mm. The forewings are greyish to brownish with a mixture of white, grey, black and brownish scales.
