First record of the larger grain borer, Prostephanus truncatus (Coleoptera Bostrichidae), in the Republic of Niger
Bulletin of Entomological Research 86 (1), 83-85
Abstract: In 1994, a survey was carried out in Niger with sticky traps baited with the aggregation pheromone of Prostephanus truncatus, as well as by examining grain samples. In Niamey a high incidence of Prostephanus truncatus was caught in the traps. The larger grain borer was also recorded from and around the towns of Gaya and Dosso, but not in grain samples. Tribolium castaneum and Sitophilus spp. were recovered from the grain samples.
