Botrytis pseudocinerea A.-S. Walker, A. Gaut., Confais, Martinho, Viaud, Le Pêcheur, J. Dupont & Elis. Fourn. 2011

This fungus is widely distributed and has a very similar biology and morphology compared to Botrytis cinerea. Like that species, it infects grapevine and a number of other crops. However, it is usually less frequently encountered. The conidia are one-celled, hyaline and elliptical with a size of 8-12 x 7-8 µm. Sclerotia are black and around 5-10 x 3-5 mm large.
