Botrytis caroliniana X.P. Li & G. Schnabel 2012
This fungus has been reported to cause grey mould on raspberry and blackberry in North America. It can be distinguished by its morphology and DNA structure from other Botrytis species. The conidia are one-celled, hyaline or light brown and elliptical with an average size of around 10-12 x 8-9 µm. The sclerotia are black and relatively small with a maximum length of 10 mm (Li et al., 2012).
