Definition of the threshold and thermal constant on the pupal stage of Lasioderma serricorne (F.) in stored tobacco
Bollettino del Laboratorio di Entomologia Agraria 57, 123-127
Abstract: The effect of temperature on the duration of the pupal stage of Lasioderma serricorne (F.) was studied for two years (1997, 1998) inside chambers with controlled conditions (absence of light, r.h. 65%±3 and temperatures 21±0.5°C, 24±0.5°C, 27.5±0.5°C, 30±0:5°C and 32.5±0.5°C). It was found that the developmental threshold temperature for the pupae is about 14°C; the thermal constant was found fluctuating between 89.05 and 94.05.
