Bipolaris cookei (Sacc.) Shoemaker 1959
The fungus causes target leaf spot of sorghum in various regions. The symptoms are elliptical target spots with alternating pale tan and darker narrower bands. The conidia are elongated, often slightly curved, with rounded ends and an olivaceous to golden brown colour, around 60 x 15 µm in size (Manamgoda et al., 2014).
