Assigned virus:
gooseberry vein banding associated virus (GVBaV)

This virus has been found in Europe and North America, causing chlorosis along the veins of Ribes species. It can be transmitted mechanically and can spread through cuttings. In addition, several aphid species can transmit it in a semi-persistent manner. In four isolates studied, the size of the DNA genome ranged from 7649 to 7663 bp.
