Badnavirus tessellocitri

The citrus yellow mosaic virus (CiYMV) infects citrus in Asia, e.g. it common in India, especially on sweet orange (Citrus sinensis). The symptoms consist of a yellow mosaic on the leaves and yellow spots along the veins. Yield losses can reach 70%. It is mainly transmitted by graft propagation of citrus cultivars. Virus particles are about 130 x 30 nm large and the DNA genome has a size of approximately 7.5 kb with 6 open reading frames.
