Aureobasidium zeae (Narita & Hirats.) Dingley 1977
This fungus was initially described as Kabatiella zeae from Japan, but has been subsequently also reported from other parts of the world like Europe or the Americas. It causes an eyespot disease on maize. Outbreaks of the disease can result in serious losses.
