Asparagus virus 2 (AV-2)
The virus is common in Europe and North America and causes the asparagus decline syndrome, resulting in reduced yield. It can be transmitted by seed and pollen (Kawamura et al., 2014). For example, it appears to spread during the asparagus flowering season.
