Arthrobotrys oligospora (antagonist) Fresen.

The species is a nematode trapping fungi (forming adhesive networks) which is being investigated as a biocontrol agent against plant parasitic nematodes. It is widely distributed and common in soil samples. The fungus attaches itself to the cuticle of the nematode and penetrates its skin, killing the nematode. Some antagonistic effects against plant pathogenic fungi have been also reported.
