Apriona germari (Hope, 1831) - (mulberry longicorn beetle)
The beetle is found in parts of India and further east in many parts of Asia up to China, where it is considered a pest. The larvae breed in the trunk and branches of mulberry and various other broadleaved trees weakening the trees and reducing the quality of the wood. A. germari is of quarantine concern in Europe and might spread from its native range via wooden packing material.
