Abstract: The yellow-legged hornet, Vespa velutina nigrithorax, was accidentally introduced from China to southwestern France in 2004. Colonies are founded by queens and 12 colonies in France were examined. Of these 2 dead queen were found parasitized by Conops vesicularis.
