Apate monachus - (black borer)

This beetles is found in the Mediterranean region, parts of Asia and in Africa. It attacks the trunk and branches of fruit trees (Bonsignore, 2012) and various other types of trees (e.g. cacao or coffee), causing shot-hole symptoms.
