Anomala cuprea (Hope, 1839) - (cupreus chafer)

The beetle is found in eastern Asia, where it is a pest of nurseries and turf. It is of quarantine concern to Pacific islands like Hawaii and Guam, as well as to mainland North America. The larvae attack sweet potato roots as well as the roots from other crops, grasses and trees. The adults feed on leaves.

The adults are usually 20-25 mm long, shiny greenish or brown-green. The foretibia ends in a tooth and the fore tarsus has 2 claws, the inner one is bifurcate.
