Anagyrus pseudococci (parasitoid) (Girault, 1915)
The parasitoid is commercially available and apparently widespread (but many populations have been misidentified). It parasitizes mealybugs of the genus Planococcus. E.g. in California it is considered an important parasitoid of the vine mealybug, Planococcus ficus.
The species is a polyphagous, solitary, kionobiont endoparasitoid (allowing the host to develop during parasitation) which prefers 3rd instar mealybug nymphs.
