Alternaria linicola J.W. Groves & Skolko 1944 - (seedling blight of flax)
This fungus infects flax/linseed. It is often seed-borne and enters the young seedlings during germination, causing damping-off and blight of the seedlings. At a later stage, it may also cause leaf spots or head blight when the seed capsules are formed. A. linicola is a member of Alternaria Section Porri.
