Alternaria burnsii Uppal, Patel & Kamat 1938 - (cumin blight)
This fungus has been recorded from Europe and Asia. It causes a blight disease on cumin (Cuminum cyminum) but also infects other plants. A. burnsii belongs to the type group of Alternaria species and is closely related to Alternaria alternata and other species from that group (Woudenberg et al., 2015).
