Alphabaculovirus bomori

Bombyx mori nucleopolyhedrovirus (BmNPV) - (grasserie)

BmNPV is a nuclear polyhedrosis virus of the silkworm (Bombyx mori) which can cause economic losses of up to 80% in silkworm cultures. The virus is also used to produce recombinant proteins with the baculovirus expression vector system (BEVS).
