Aleurothrixus trachoides (Back, 1912) - (chilli whitefly)

This whitefly is a polyphagous pest, infesting various crops, especially solanaceous crops like chilli or tomatoes. It is native to northern parts of South America and to Central America. However, it has spread to various other regions like the Pacific (in the 1930s) and to parts of Africa and Asia. It is further recorded from Florida since 2016.
