Aeolothrips fasciatus (predator) (Linnaeus, 1758)

This predatory thrips is found in Europe, parts of Asia and in Australia and New Zealand (Thrips Wiki). As identification is only reliable in males, records of females might belong to a different species. It has been reported as a predator of phytophagous thrips, other small insects and mites.
