Adoretus sinicus Burmeister - (Chinese rose beetle)
The beetle is found in eastern Asia and is a significant, polyphagous pests in several countries. It has been reported from Hawaii since 1891. The adults feed on leaves during the night and can reduce the leave area considerably. It breeds in decaying organic matter.
