Acyrthosiphon Mordvilko 1914<
The genus includes about 100 species of large (3 mm), greenish aphids feeding on several families of dicots like Fabaceae, Rosaceae, and Euphorbiaceae. The antennae are as long as the body or longer. Also the siphunculi and cauda are realtively long. Most species have a holocyclic life cycle. The genus includes important crop pests like the pea aphid or the blue alfalfa aphid.
