The structure and transformation of the Oriental Locust breeding areas
Acta Entomologica Sinica 11 (1), 17-30
Abstract: Locusta migratoria manilensis breeds in four types of area in China. These are: lake shores, the sea coast, river flood plains, and the flood plains of the interior. The ecological characteristics of each are described, showing certain similarities between them, indicating how a change in the ecology of an area can render it unsuitable for locust breeding.
