Acta Entomologica Sinica 10 (3), 243-272
Abstract: The histology of 21 different kinds of sense organs from Locusta migratoria manilensis is described and illustrated. They occur chiefly in the appendages, of which the following have been studied: compound eyes, ocelli, antennae, labrum, hypopharynx, labial palps, maxillae, maxillary palps, legs, wings, cerci, ovipositor and genitalia. The authors arbitrarily classify the sense organs into five basic groups.
