The abdominal tympanal organs of some Acrididae
Acta Entomologica Sinica 2 (1), 19-37
Abstract: The detailed structure and histology of the abdominal tympanal organs of Locusta migratoria manilensis, Acrida turrita and Oxya intricata are described. As a result of the present research, various suggestions are put forward which may serve as a basis for further physiological studies on insect hearing.
