Acrobasis vaccinii Riley, 1884 - (cranberry fruitworm)

This moth is found in North America and breeds in blueberries and cranberries. It is a serious pest in some parts of North America like the north-eastern and mid-western parts of the U.S. and eastern Canada. Crops losses can reach 50% during outbreaks. The larvae develop mostly inside the berries and are difficult to control. There is usually one generation per year in temperate regions.
