Rumex obtusifolius (weed) L. - (broadleaf dock)
This weed is widespread in temperate regions. It affectes mainly grasslands, but also agricultural crops. In general, it is not grazed by lifestock and competes against forage plants for space, water and nutrients. It produces a main tap root during the first year and additional secondary taproots during the second year. The plants propagate by budding from the top portion of this under-ground structure or from parts of the stem. Each plant produces many seeds.
