Cephalonomia stephanoderis (parasitoid) Betrem, 1961
This parasitoid was introduced into many countries against the coffee berry borer (Hypothenemus hampei). The female enters the infested coffee berry and feeds on Hypothenemus larvae before being able to develop its eggs. Mature females deposit a single egg on the ventral side of a Hypothenemus larva. The development from egg to adult wasp lasts around 3 weeks.
