Calliptamus abbreviatus Ikonnikov, 1913
This grasshopper is found in temperate parts of eastern Asia, with its distribution extending westwards up to parts of eastern Europe. It is a pest of alfalfa and grasslands, with outbreaks occurring in commercial pastures as well as in wild grasslands.
