Asparagus virus 1 (AV-1)
This virus is widely distributed and infects asparagus. Plants usually show no obvious symptoms but can experience decline and serious yield losses. The incidence of infection can reach close to 100% in an asparagus field. The virus is usually transmitted in a non‐persistent manner by Myzus persicae or other aphids.
