Betabaculovirus pluxylostellae (entomopathogen)

The Plutella xylostella granulovirus is widely distributed and infects the larval stages of the diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella. Epizootics can develop in the field. Different strains have been described that vary in their pathogenicity to P. xylostella and methods for field application have been developed (e.g. Subramanian et al., 2010). The virus has also shown a synergistic effect when applied in combination with other pathogens like Bacillus thuringiensis (Han, et al., 2015).
