beneficial - mites (predators and parasites)

Predatory mites are often released to control pest mites like spider mites. Others are recognized as natural enemies of pest arthropods which need to be preserved. In some cases they have a predatory as well as a parasitic lifestyle, e.g. as predators and ectoparasites. Both groups are listed here together. The following families are included in the system:
