Cucurbit yellow stunting disorder virus (CYSDV)

The virus is widely distributed and infects cucurbits and various other crops (e.g. cucumber, melon, alfalfa and lettuce) as well as weeds. Yield losses of up to 50% have been estimated for cucumber. It is transmitted by Bemisia tabaci in a semi-persistent manner.
