Ocorrência de parasitóides associados à broca-do-café no sul do Espírito Santo-Brasil
[Occurrence of parasitoid insects associated to the coffee berry borer in the south of the State of Espírito Santo-Brazil]
IDESIA (Chile) 26 (3), 97-98
Abstract: The objective of this work was to verify the occurrence of parasitoids insects, of the coffee berry borer, Hypothenemus hampei (Ferrari) (Coleoptera: Scolytidae) in plantings of coffee in the South of Espírito Santo State. The parasitoids found were Prorops nasuta (Hym.: Bethilidae) and Cephalonomia stephanoderis (Hym.: Bethilidae), with levels of parasitism of up to 33%. These natural enemies' presence suggests a potential of natural regulation of H. hampei, and perspectives for its use in programs of Integrated Pest Management.
