Akanthomyces dipterigenus (Petch) Spatafora, Kepler, Zare & B. Shrestha 2017 (insect pathogen)
This fungus is an entomopathogen (sometimes also a mycoparasite) that infects mainly aphids, whiteflies and soft scales. Some entomoparasitic strains are commercially available.
