Uscana lariophaga (parasitoid) Steffan, 1954
This wasp is an important egg parasitoid of bruchid pests in Central Africa. The main host is the cowpea weevil, Callosobruchus maculatus, a serious storage pest. Establishing the parasitoid in a cowpea store infested by the weevil can significantly reduce the infestation level of the weevil and the percentage of damaged cowpea seeds (van Huis et al., 1998).
