REDIA 88 (App.), 1-7
Abstract: Xylophagous insect species involved in the decay of maritime pine stands infested by Matsucoccus feytaudi Duc. in Liguria and Tuscany (Italy) are listed. For each species, notes are provided on the morphology, biology and ecology, as well as on the phytosanitary importance, especially with reference to outbreaks of maritime pine bast scale. The role of each species in the final decay of the pine stands is also discussed.
